Would it be legal to pay three gold, and then boost one character by 3 STR? I see no character restriction on the card (other than Redwyne), so it seems like a possible tactic. You could even have two Arbor Knights boost each other, if you had the funds, correct?
Yes. Each instance of the ability is independent, and stacks. Two Arbor knights in play allows you to pay a total of 6 gold to boost Redwyne characters by a total of 6 STR, distributed any which way you like.
For my own clarification, there would be opportunities between each +1 boost for the opponent to play an action himself, such as Treachery, yes? You could not simply pay 3 to boost STR by 3 in one Action, correct? Thank you.
That is correct
Although technically treachery is a reaction not an action so they have a chance to react to each strength pump and they also have the opportunity to take an action (like Margaery, ambushing in a card, etc.) between each individual pump.
Nice! Thank you. This card will add some nice little tricks to my Tyrell repertoire, and even better when you add Randyll to the equation. Cheap stand effect. Monster power pump. So... Many... Possibilities.... And with a 2 cost non uniqiue bicon?!? Sheesh.
Randyll isn't house Redwyne, though. He's from house Tarly. Which is sad, because he really would love these knights.
Unfortunately Standy Randy is not House Redwyne so no dice on that move. But still they are fantastic, the pump can screw with your opponents head and is great for stopping PttS.
Crap! I even double checked before posting, and I read Redwyne instead of Tarly. Wishful thinking, ha ha. We need more Wyne!
Base of new tyrell knight archetype, awesome in melee.
Agreed, I'm kinda looking forward to building a Tyrell Knights deck at the end of this cycle. Or at the very least start on one anyway.
