Another card for the Tyrell knights + ladies theme that is starting to slowly come into it's own. :)

This could be interesting in Martell Rose. Knight of Flowers with House Dayne Knights, Arianne, Margaery... If KoF has a Little Bird mid to late game and you also have Doran's Game...

Highgarden kind of makes this disgusting.

Opponent attacks with 1 character, you defend with one arbor knight, remove the attacker from the challenge and claim 3 power.

Since both this and superior claim can work on the defense, Opponent does power challenge, you defend with KoF and remove only attacker, play Lady Sansas Rose and Superior claim and you just got 6 power (3 LSR, 2 SP, 1 Renown) on defense.

For extra shenanigans use Jousting Contest ;)

On a Clash of Kings turn, it's 7 power :).

What if it's a "Knighted" "Lady" character, do you get 4 power in this case?

No, just 3. The 3 clause replaces the 1, it's not in addition to it.

You would get 3 power instead of 1, since you have both a Knight and a Lady.  (3 power *instead* does replace the original 1 power, so I'm not sure where 4 power came up).

This combo (Lady + Knighted) would be wonderfully Nedly on a Lyanna Stark card if/when they get to her. She's outside the normal timeframe of the game but I know 1.0 had a Lyanna character.

Of course, that assumes that Lyanna was the Knight of the Laughing Tree, which is pretty speculative, I suppose...

We will get a Brienne at some point, though, and I wouldn't be surprised to see her have both the Lady and Knight traits, even if I don't think she was ever officially a Knight.

I think she could be one of the Tyrell cards in Wolves of the North.  She's probably the most high-profile Tyrell character that is conspicuous by her absence (even moreso than Mace) so I'd expect her sooner rather than later.  It'd be nice if she had the text from the last version of her in 1.0.  Doesn't actually have the Knight trait, but is treated as if she has it.  So all effects that affect Knights in play affected her, but she wasn't a Knight so couldn't be affected by thing that required the printed trait.

That text sounds awesome--crazy thematic.

But why Tyrell? I would think she would be Neutral or Stark (since she spends most of her time on her own little quest or sworn to Catelyn)...or maybe Baratheon based on the timeframe they are working in (pretty sure House Tarth are Storm Lords).

Either way, though, I cant wait to see her.

But she was completely loyal to Renly, and would still with him until the end (of the armies of Stannis and joffrey), and after, if he had not died.
And it's almost certainly that the King of the Tyrells in the second cycle is Renly.
She probably will have another version with her in the Stark faction, but not now i think.

That's actually a super-interesting point.

I figured we would get a King Renly eventually but I assumed he would be Baratheon. But it would be interesting to see him as a Tyrell card since they were his principle supporters. And that would open up a ton of really interesting possibilities for other Storm Lords in Tyrell as most of them supported Renly over either Stannis or Joffrey. Even some of the Vale lords supported Renly and could pop up in Tyrell...

I do hope that even in Tyrell, he is House Baratheon traited. And I hope they do play around with that. Like unique cards that perhaps require you to have a Baratheon unique character or King to play. You could do the same things with a lot of the houses to good effect...

Even though House Tarth is one of the Baratheon Banners, they were supporters of Renly, who was only able to declare himself King with the support of House Tyrell (which is why I expect to see him as a Tyrell King, rather than a Baratheon one).  Following that logic, Brienne was devoted to Renly who, as a Tyrell King, would determine her faction affiliation.

We may get a Baratheon or Stark version eventually, but I'd put money on Tyrell being the first one.

That makes sense.

I actually wouldn't be terribly surprised if we saw her this cycle (in Baratheon) and next cycle in Tyrell. Though since she doesn't appear in A Game of Thrones we're more likely not to see her until later.

I would be surprised if she appeared in this cycle, or as a Baratheon. She has nothing really tying her to Baratheon except Renly, Baratheon is more focused on Robert and then Stannis. Meanwhile Renly's followers are in Tyrell, and Brienne is also a knight.

And she shouldn't appear in this cycle, as it is focused on the first book. But she will definitely be in the second cycle.

Apart from her family's traditional loyalty to the stag Banner and her lack of Knighthood, I agree!

I do think there's a good chance she'll be in Wolves of the North, but I can see her card not appearing until The War of the Five Kings Cycle (when she was introduced in the books)

In The same cycle that will have Renly as the "Tyrell King", considering that 6 factions will get a "king" in the second cycle, and Mance is not one of theirs), this is probably what will happen.
The Maiden and her true king, coming in the same cycle, seems slighty nedly, or maybe it's me that always see nedly things.

Hi there,

Can you trigger the 'Lady' Component of this card with the Dire wolf "Lady"?

Thanks

No. The "Lady" in question is in bold and italics - it is referring to the trait, not a name.

Besides, it says "Lady character;" Lady the Direwolf is an attachment.
