Stand is undeniably great, but there isn't enough Bloodrider support yet to justify this effect. There's only Rakharo so far, so I think we need to see a combination of 3 - 4 more uniques/non-uniques that have decent abilities before really justifying it.
4 STR means burn city, but it's not an unreasonable amount of STR at cost 5 considering the icon pair.
You know he can ready himself, right? So even without another Bloodrider in play, he gets to attack twice. I'm more concerned about the Summer plot restriction. Not many Summer plots Targ might want to play for him.
Whoops. Didn't think of that. So he's useful independently of other Bloodriders, which is a huge 360 in my book.
Meh, maybe if we get trait manipulation in Targaryen (I think they would be the house for it with the stormborn shennanigans), but this guy is hugely situation - summer plot AND bloodrider character only? Nggh.
But, the key is that he can stand himself, so he doesn't actually depend on having other Bloodriders. The summer stuff is something we will need to see.
I get that, but compare it to Illyrio who is the same cost and same strength and can stand anyone anytime for 2 gold (once per phase even) - I think Aggo will see play, but I don't think he is great
I think the icon combination isn't great though, whilst it was the best in 1st edition I prefer INT/POW now.
If Aggo can stand any Dothraki character instead of only Bloodrider character, he would've been much better even if he requires a Summer plot. Unfortunately, I just don't think he is that great. Targ needs more good Dothraki characters, and Aggo isn't it.
Why not both ?
Plus Targs might switch to Kings of Summer agenda when it's released (mainly because otherwise winter decks would demolish them)
I think that limiting which Dothraki characters he can stand is probably a smart decision. This allows them to create really strong Dothraki characters while being able decide to NOT give them the Bloodrider trait. Some of the new Dothraki characters can now be really strong without worrying about giving them extra stand etc.
