Excellent hero and the basis of the new fighting based Rohan deck. Engineering an ally to leave play is possible almost every round. Spear of the mark and Firefoot provide extra attack power, making a fully powered up Eomer a powerhouse.

Great, great hero that highlights what Tactics should be good at--kicking butt. And obviously Firefoot is amazing for him, as is Support of the Eagles if you run him in an Eagles Deck like I do.

Also, despite his amazing Rohan synergy, you shouldn't limit yourself to those heroes. Prince Imrahil is a perfect partner for this guy and can help pull some questing weight while still potentially defending or attacking. Plus that access to Leadership means Snowborn Scout, Errand-Rider and Squire of the Citadel all become available as chump blockers. And when they die, Valiant Sacrifice is now available to pull more chumps into hand.

I am currently running 3 sphere deck build around Prince Imrahil and Éomer.

Total Cards: 50

Heroes (starting threat: 33)
Prince Imrahil (A Journey to Rhosgobel)
    Théoden (The Treason of Saruman)
    Éomer (The Voice of Isengard)
Allies (33)
 3x Errand-rider (Heirs of Númenor)
 3x Snowbourn Scout (Core Set)
3x Squire of the Citadel (The Blood of Gondor)
2x Guthlaf (The Blood of Gondor)
3x Westfold Outrider (The Voice of Isengard)
2x Minas Tirith Lampwright (Encounter at Amon Dîn)
3x The Riddermark's Finest (The Hills of Emyn Muil)
3x West Road Traveller (Return to Mirkwood)
3x Westfold Horse-breeder (The Voice of Isengard)
2x Éomund (Conflict at the Carrock)

 3x Gandalf (Core Set)
Attachments (9)
2x Captain of Gondor (The Antlered Crown)
 2x Firefoot (The Dunland Trap)
2x Gondorian Shield (The Steward's Fear)
1x Horn of Gondor (Core Set)
2x Rohan Warhorse (The Voice of Isengard)
Events (8)
2x Rear Guard (The Hills of Emyn Muil)
 2x Sneak Attack (Core Set)
 2x Valiant Sacrifice (Core Set)
2x A Test of Will (Core Set)

Deck built with Rivendell Councilroom

The strategy is simple: put as much chumpblockers as you can on the board. Quest with prince and Theoden. Kill things with Éomer after he gains bonus attack. Against tougher enemies or siege quests, use Gondorian shield on Prince. If you defend with Prince, defend the first attack so you can chump block later and use Prince for attacking also.
The deck was built for solo games, but it can be paired very well with Silvan deck. The biggest weakness is threat, but with a little luck you can get Sneak Gandalf early to mitigate it.

Cool deck. Imrahil and Eomer really do work so well together. And Firefoot is such a beast if you can find ways to boost Eomer up. :)

But only 2 Sneak Attack and Valiant Sacrafice? I would think those would be clutch with Gandalf being your primary threat reduction and planning to chump a lot to trigger Eomer and Imrahil. Did you just find them clogging your hand?

I own only one core set and I dislike proxies, so I play with only 2 coppies. Both of those cards would make the deck perform better in 3 coppies though. But the card that saddens me the most is Horn of Gondor. Three coppies of this card is a must with this kind of deck.

I get that--I was running pretty much the same scenario for a long time before I finally bit the bullet and bought a second core. Even then, wouldn't have done it if I hadn't started demoing the game at game stores and needed more tokens as well as wanting those singles and doubles.

If you're finding yourself wanting for resources is there a reason you aren't running Steward? Seems a natural fit (especially since it also gives the Gondor trait) and it pays for itself first-turn so you don't take a tempo hit with one Leadership hero.

I try to use Steward as little as possible outside of Gondor decks. I tend to follow this weird thematic/mechanic equalibrium and Steward doesn't cut it in this deck :)
