Grima is probably the best Secrecy hero in the game. His built-in resource acceleration takes care of Secrecy decks' inherent economic problems without relying on Keys of Orthanc or Resourceful to function. With either of those attached, he even puts a certain Steward of a certain city in shame.

Combine him with Nori and the first dwarf you play each turn is just -1 cost! Keys of Orthanc would make them -1 with a rebate!

Gondor is a country, not a city

What would actually happen when you play a doomed card with gríma? Example: I want to play Saruman (cost three doomed five) and I use Gríma's ability. Would that become cost 2 doomed 1? Or cost 2 doomed 5? Or cost 2 doomed 6? Or is it just impossible to use this ability with cards that are already doomed?

Doomed effects stack, so Saruman would become cost 2 with Doomed 6.

Oh that's a pity. I was actually hoping to create a grima-doomed deck while using him to lower my threat, not the other way around. But yeah, that would probably be kinda OP

Doomed affects all players right? So Grima is not great in multiplier games?

Great hero to venture alone into the wilds, terrible in multiplayer. I mean, look at his face: probably he suffers from bad breath. No one likes to hang around him, he's grown a solitary kid. After all, no wonder he's to become Gríma Wormtongue in a couple of years...

Can be terrible in large multiplayer, but a fast start is very important in the game, usually more important than ramp speed, so he might still be viable in two-player.

In a single player deck with Lore Aragorn, you might use him every round, but in two-player, using him just 2-3 times at the start of the game can make a big difference, without being too much of a burden, and he might just make the cut.
