Imagine this in conjunction with Deus X. I can't wait to see the look on the corp's face when they finally get out that Janus or Archer.

Test Running for this before you run through their Archer is pretty funny.

Its just corp economy draining card.
If they rez something expensive you can get through now you can just make them pay for it again, especialy on some heavily run central like RnD.
Not as good as Emergency shutdown, but this drop on corps economy will hurt if you can temporarly use 1 MU to install this.

Crescentus really shines in Whizzard's Drain and Dig, it basically gives you another free turn of digging.

Also it has cool synergy with Inside job

I agree it's not as good as emergency shutdown, but it's still very good. Chances are you will have to break a piece of their ice eventually, and this lets you put even more pressure on their economy when you do.

I also love the psychologic effect it has on some corp players. An Emergency Shutdown kind of comes out of nowhere, but you can let Crescentus sit around on the table for a while. It's fun.

I run a Credit bleed deck with Gabe and being able to derez without holding onto a click is the best. Especially when you run into a tag and need to get rid of it! The problem with Emergency shutdown is sometimes you don't get through with a click to spare. Corps try to make it that way. Crescentus solves this problem. If you're worried about mem cost, you need to run crypsis as a main icebreaker. If you're derezzing high level ice, the credits are worth the corp spending them again to rezz it again.
