i'm not a huge fan of Ichi 2.0 upon first look. i think because it costs a lot to play, and the runner can break through it clean with a click to spare if they can beat the trace.

on Ichi 1.0, this limitation is easier to live with, since it costs almost half as much to rez and is a solid early game performer that can be rezzed on turn 1 with cash on hand.

maybe i'm just spoiled by other 8 cost, 5 strength ice like Tollbooth and Wall of Thorns.
striatic: I agree, this is the least of the new 2.0 ICE. Too expensive and too easy to get past. It's got the same problems as Heimdall 1.0!

Although, not completely terrible. Assuming no link, this takes 3 clicks and 3 credits to get past, which is pretty substantial.
Agreed on both counts.

He'd probably play quite well off an Awakening Centre though
Funny, ichi was the best of the 1.0s and now is the worst of the 2.0s
I disagree, this card cannot be clicked through like the 1.0 form. You need 1 click to start a run leaving 3 clicks left. you can only spend 2 clicks at a time to break it so you can only break 2 out of the 3 subroutines. Any smart runner will likely opt for a trace but with all the money cards in this new set you can do a lot of damage with this card.
I'm upset that this is yet another ICE that deals damage and yet isn't AP. Killer and Tracer are types that have no mechanical relevance right now, while Deus X would care a lot about this being AP.

I'm not saying its a bad card but those extra 3 credits hurts it and I believe that e3 will become popular so the last subroutine will be spent through. Plus the trace can be payed through anyways. The new Heimdall forces the opponent to end the run or take a brain damage which is better than the trace and victor is amazing for the cost.
Ichi 2.0 is much better in stronger together deck. 6 strength makes is very competitive against ninja.
As a side note, the flavor text would have made more sense had it been on Victor 2.0

It has amazing art, though. Or, at least, I like it so much.

Yeah, it reminds me somehow of the Violator from the Spawn animated series. The light, the pose, ... just like the Violator in the church, after he reveals his true nature.

Also the full-bleed version of this card emphasize it even more: https://images-cdn.f...7/chp01-fan.png

It is pure awesomeness!
