I think this card works really well in conjunction with Keyhole and DLR to bypass Jackson. You can easily Keyhole a three-pointer into archives and trigger an already installed Hades Shard, or just slowly gain credits; once you're at 7, the corp is vulnerable to install/trash to access all of archives. Same you can only have 1 in your deck, as it's perfect for Mill decks; maybe in conjunction with Hostage?

Its not a connection, so it wont work with hostage sadly.  The "one per deck" limit and influence is tricky, but if you can install it early with Noise, after a few big mills it might net you some goodies.

Ah yes, of course! Well, I've knocked together an Iain Keyhole deck, at least you can use Logos to hunt up the singleton copy.

When a jackson and hades shard are installed, how does it work? Does it depend on whose turn it is to determine which triggered response takes precedence?

Correct: Timing priority is in effect. If the Runner trashes Hades Shard on his or her own turn, Jackson won't trigger (in the same timing window) until the Shard has fully resolved. Hades Shard is specifically useful to sidestep Jackson Howard.

The Corp, of course, knows that Hades Shard is in play, so might decide to trigger Jackson Howard preemptively during his or her own turn, but this is more limited than normal.

Yeah. Personally, in Noise I often play it out of hand and immediately trigger it for possible game win. It works like that in Keyhole decks also. And, it's a good target for Deja Vu. Unfortunately, finding the single copy in the first place is high variance. Worst case scenario, you never draw it.

Agreed: it mediates the "rock/paper (scissors)" aspect of Noise Mill / Jackson Howard nicely.

It brings back a deck that got countered by the simple inclusion of three copies of a single card, changing a boring rock/paper/scissors situation into one that requires subtlety and timing. It's now a fencing match, which is always better.
