I think this will probably prove to be a Timmy card. Great for theorycrafting and super awesome when it works, but $8 for a card that trashes itself is difficult to justify.
Seems to mesh fine in a connection deck with Decoy and Calling in Favors (amongst others) not THAT hard to justify
Sure. Also, Fall Guy while you are at it, and maybe New Angeles City Hall to help keep Rachel on the board. So, probably a criminal deck given that several of the pieces are criminal, and criminal has a a fair number of decent to good connections.
Mr. Li, Compromised Employee, the new Supplier (makes it all cheaper) maybe Tri-Maf if you are feeling frisky. Fill in the rest as seems to make sense. Port in Scrubber from Anarch. Maybe some other grey connections, like Kati. Maybe you eyeball the Supplier and HQ interface and figure hey...sure, popping out HQ Intefaces for $2 each is a bargain.
You probably don't run Account Siphon, but you've got yourself the start of deck wherein Rachel might make sense and survive. If you are only paying $6 off the Supplier and avoiding tags with Decoy and NACH and avoiding Trash with Fall Guy, Rachel isn't a bad deal to gain a fifth click. Is it going to turn the Calling In Favors archetype into a powerhouse? Maybe?
Then there's every other kind of deck lacking the support cards necessary to make Rachel worth it.
Breaking News is the bane of this card. Given that virtually every NBN deck runs three copies of this, Rachel is basically toast against NBN. In my humble opinion, crap card - 1 star.
Aside from a specifical deck that would run Notoriety, Dopplegagner, Early Bird, Quest Completed, Feint, I too expect this card to fail.
