I guess HB is going with set of NEXT ice now. Next design identity must combo with these nicely. Can't wait to see more.
without any other NEXT ice, you rez 3 of these and you have x3 3 strength Code Gates for 6 credits.

the next says it boosts itself too, so it isn't *really* 0 strength if you play one alone. it is 1 strength.

I wonder where they go with the NEXT type. Will it only ever be + strength, or maybe subroutines or something else down the line?

Without more of them however, being a code gate and Yog.0 existing would make me question how much it will be used just yet.

It's cheaper than Enigma. Also, if you ran 2x Enigma which is fairly common, you can siwtch one out for this which adds a little bit of extra defense vs. Atman rigs.
I foresee the NEXT line of ice being an HB cheap-ice strategy that self-synergizes. HB lacks good cheap ice, and I think the NEXT line will allow for deck-building creativity for ice-heavy HB decks.
I'm excited about cheaper etr ice, bring it on.

more cheap spam ice is always good imo. Stops the runner just spamming runs at r/d hand early
after playing with this card quite a bit now, i think it is a tremendous piece of ICE.

this is meant as first turn ICE that will mature a little bit as the game goes on and you deploy more. any ETR ICE with a rez cost 3 or lower has to be taken extremely seriously if you are playing with HB 3 cost agendas, especially Accelerated Beta Test.

Exactly. Imagine the NEXT design identity with crap load of cheap NEXT ice. Just install 3-4 ice in turn 1 with a Sure Gamble or Beanstalk. You could even install ABT and score it next turn to get couple of ice again. That's a very solid defense early on.

That's exactly NEXT design identity was made for. I tested with current ice and it performs decently
EDIT: Forget I said anything

Next design only works with bioroids.

Err...no? Are you confusing Next Design with Stronger Together?
cmon! more NEXT Ice FFG!
