Anyone understand the text of the Objective card? I read it and the explanation on the most recent update posted by Fantasy Flight and still do not understand what the objective's effect is after I discard a fate card.
This allows you to do things like use a seeds of decay to put a focus token on a committed unit during any action window (among other things). That's pretty good....
Okay now it makes sense. I was looking at from an edge battle stand point. Thanks for the clarification.
heat and target - still can only be utilized in a engagement....but as an action could not be twisted away.
echos, seeds, and battle of hoth - can be utilized as an action at any point during a turn.
this has huge capability.
in games so far the real adavtage to this pod is the ability to cycle fate cards, usually a one time use thing turning into a multi-use item has been an awesome thing.
This pod puts The Admiral's Assault to shame > >.
It also seems like this is a way for the LS player to get around a DS twist. Just play the Heat, Target or Seeds during the action window right after the edge battle instead of during it.
Add in the fact that Lt. Page and his Commando's allow the LS players to recycle their fate cards which means that any DS player must be take care when engaging the LS. Now the LS has more fate cards then before.
as a side note, Lt page allows you to retrieve a fate card (other than twist) if you or your opponent plays a twist in the edge battle. His ability works when your edge stack is discarded and thats exactly what twist forces you to do. It creates an interesting situation where maybe your on offense, and you put all your hand cards in the edge, one being a fate card, along with your opponent, who also played a twist thinking defender wins ties, then you get to retrieve your fate card and win edge. He basically allows you to over commit in the edge with your own fate cards and not really worry about your opponents twists since you can pull one of your own fate cards back.
This set plus crix madines seems like a really great fit and i'm interested to put something together. too bad its a limit 1....
I'm not sure a pure Rebel character deck is quite there yet, but it might be fun to try Page and Crix with some Rebel vehicles maybe add in 2 Red 2, 2 Home 1, 2 Hoth Ops and throw in a Leia for the Twist and potentially sacking her at the right time and seeing what happens.
I've been enjoying Page, Crix, and Winter together. This set really boosted Crix's playability IMO.
this dry also makes hit & run -pod considering again
store champ 2nd place:
2x wedge
2x APD
2X BTS luke (speeder bike)
2x pilot luke
1x doy4
1x page
I was loving the muttiple uses with target, or a 3pip Battle of hoth keeping my heros resolve undamaged.
the fate card recycling was awesome!
So using this objective with the fate card The Jedi's Resolve, from the new Yoda pod would still require that it is used during an engagement with a Jedi unit involved correct?
