yes, but once he focuses to strike on defense he would gain 2 tokens, meaning he wouldn't help during the force struggle. I say commit him to the force and leaving him alone

you commit him to the force, then use him to defend if you only need to, you can also tapout there already commited characters if you have teh DS already
