I can see him being better with the force precognition from embers with hope objective set.
Except Force Precognition does the exact same thing as Obi-Wan, and those abilities do not stack. Therefore attaching precog to Obi does nothing at all.

There is this saying that one shouldn't ascribe to malice what can be explained as incompetence, or something similar to that. It's a good saying, even if I can't recall the author or exact wording.
