I think i am going to try this set out in my navy trooper/walker deck. the only weak point of the set imo, is the cap ship that requires a captive to be useful, but i do have take them prisoner in the deck, so that gives me 4 ways to capture something to get its bonus.
Attacking and shields are a bit conditional, but as bona says it's far from unusual in navy shielding decks with forward command posts etc
