So if you don't partake in any edge battles (all uncontested engagements) do you collect the bounty? Seems like it since you won't have lost by 3 or more.

Though your opponent will have the opportunity to declare attacks as well before the capture ability can trigger.
Even if unopposed, the attacker can still choose to place edge cards. So your opponent can attack and place 3 force icons worth of cards into an unopposed engagement to clear the bounty.

Iirc you can only place a single card into the edge if your opponent chooses not to defend
Uh no..

Uh no..

So as an attacker you can play as many cards as you want into the edge?

Yep, page 18 says an attacker that is unopposed during the edge can still play multiple cards into the edge.

A player must control at least one participating unit
to place cards in the edge battle. If the defending
player controls no defending units, the attacking player
automatically wins the edge battle (although he still has
the option to place cards into the edge battle if
he so desires).

For some reason I always thought you could only ever play one card into the edge battle if unopposed. Live and learn.
Or you could just flash it in for free using Jabba at the end of your opponents turn. Then capture during your refresh phase, ignoring the edge restriction all together.
