Doesn't this pod seem incredibly strong? Super cost efficient units, couple of events that goes synergies well with them and an Objective that makes them synergize with both Smugglers and Jedi builds. All it lacks is a few resources, but given the avg cost in the set it doesn't really matter that much.

I really dislike wookies, but it seems I'm gonna have to play them anyway xD
Yes, it's a phenomenal pod with terrific synergy across the board. Chewie in particular is one of the most efficient LS units in the game. Don't even get me started about the lulz generated when you play Let the Wookiee Win on Chewie during an engagement. Totally wrecks an opponent's board.

And this is probably only the third-best Smugglers set in the box.

I'm having difficulties choosing between this pod and Secret of Yavin 4 when building Jedi/Smuggler decks.

This one is certainly more offensive, but Secret seems to be more consistent and has a twist :S

Do what I do and run both! :-)
