Is there a reason 66 damage is dealt, that seems a fairly arbitrary number. Why not just say destroyed instead?

Thematic reasons probably. Order 66.

It's very thematic indeed. But destroying is also different mechanic then dealing damage. You can always play a card that prevents any amount of damage.

I thought they made a typo

Hehe... I think with "Confronting the Terror" in your light side deck, that's quite a risky mission for the dark side;)

Not really, it would only bounce back the damage you do against one of your units. So let's say they had Luke, Rahn, Yoda, and obi wan out, when you pick force user and dark genocide goes off, it would end up hitting all 3 for 3 damage each because over kill damage falls off, and confronting the terror would only send 3 damage back which the DS could then just split up between all his units and objectives.

This is all a moot point really because that set and that card are still terrible either way so it's highly unlikely you'll ever encounter this interaction, at least in competitive play.
