This ability seems almost useless. But hey, it replaces itself and helps you run through your deck so why not?

Most notably, allows you to resolve fate cards around Twist of Fate.

Yeah, that was the "almost". It does happen, of course. Still, I think I would be fine just ditching this for the draw most days.

It also lets you resolve Heat of Battle or Target of Opportunity before Protection triggers.

It's a situational card that's probably going to get pitched as often as it's played, but in those situations it's a godsend.

I like that it lets you resolve Target of Opportunity before Secret Objective. Let's you take out a one health objective and then resolve combat against another.

Having now played with it, I like this card a lot more.

I still don't think I would keep it in hand for long as a defense but it's neat to use offensively. Drop in Twist and another Fate Card to hopefully convince your opponent that you aren't twisting, then hit with a Target or Heat of Battle and Twist him. Plus if they try something tricky themselves (like trying to Twist me) I can still choose whether I Outwit based on what's on the table.

Plus, again, it replaces itself so just on those grounds it's a perfectly respectable 0-cost event.

I like it less after playing with it. I already didn't like it very much as it's super situational, but the fact that it only has 1 force pip means it's going to be my discard most every time.

Edit: this card actually does replace itself.... Misread. I toss it so often because it's just too situational to hold in hand short of me having multiple fate cards in hand.

Read the card again, Boba. :-)

Yeah, it's definitely not a go-to powerhouse but the replacement effect means I'm never really sad to see it in hand. If I have a Fate Card or 2 in hand then great, I'll keep it. If not then I can keep it if I want to or always just use it on any Edge Battle just to replace itself.

It's okay--which is more than good enough to not detract from the Set as a whole. Still don't like Scrambler though--that I've been tossing for Edge.
