Just thought about you can play Custom Paint Job on enhancement.

For example, on I Am a Jedi (produces X resources, "Enhance a Force User unit. X is the number of enhancements attached to enhanced unit."). So we get Custom Paint Job attached to I Am a Jedi attached to, say, BtS Luke Skywalker.

How many resources could I Am a Jedi produce in this case? In other words, shoud we consider Custom Paint Job as card attached only to I Am a Jedi or, maybe, to Luke as well? Something like, you know, a friend of my friend is my friend :)

Also you can enhance blank card attached to Scrap Metal R2-D2 ("Droid. You may use facedown enhancements on this card as if they were in your hand. Action: Reveal an enhancement from your hand and attach it as a facedown enhancement to this card."), so actually it becomes Smugglers and Spies affiliation card in your hand.

Could you discard it in order to resolve Pulsar Skate's action ("Discard a [Smugglers and Spies] card from your hand to remove 1 focus token from this unit. (Limit once per turn.)")? How do you think?

And what happens with Custom Paint Job attached to blank card attached to R2-D2 when this blank card is played as enhancement?

Custom Paint Job would be attached to I Am a Jedi, not Luke.  So X=1 in that case.

It's be ruled (going back to release of Balance of the Force) that "use as if from hand" allows you to play the cards and place them in edge stacks (and that's it).  So you would not be able to discard it to pay the cost of the Pulsar Skate's action.

And what happens with Custom Paint Job attached to blank card attached to R2-D2 when this blank card is played as enhancement?

The facedown enhancement ceases to exist as “facedown enhancement” when you play it. It leaves play and whatever card was on the back of that enhancement now enters play. Thus, the Custom Paint Job will be discarded in this case.

Even though the “facedown enhancement” and whatever card was printed on the back of it share a physical piece of cardboard, they are treated as distinct entities from a game perspective. (i.e. not the same card)

Is the affiliation card a card a player controls and can the paint job be attached to it? Since the affiliation card does have a resource that is controlled.
