I built this deck just for fun, and it is. So far, I have only played it against an Imperial Navy deck that is heavy on ground vehicles, but it has been very successful--one game ended in three turns. The Navy deck consists of Lord Vader's Command X2 (TDoH), Unstoppable Advance X2 (TB0H), Imperial Command X2 (Core), The Endor Gambit X2 (Core), Sabotage in the Snow X1 (AoEB), and Looking for Droids X1 (Core). I plan on testing Leia and Luke against a Sith deck soon. |

Not much point in playing Rumors at the Cantina. Defense of Yavin IV can speed the deck quite a bit and provides some extra fighters for Luke to pilot.
I agree. -2x Rumors, +2x Defense of Y4.
Gives you Red 2, Rebel Assault, Astromech Droid, a resource, a somewhat workable vehicle, and an awesome objective. No reason not to love it in this deck!
Deck is illegal. Journey to Dagobah is Jedi Only.
Well, the deck is just for fun, but you can change the alliance to Jedi to make it legal. It will make little difference in play unless you get a bad objective draw, but that could also happen with the alliance being Rebel.
Rumors is in the deck to lessen the chance of no resource matches. Plus, I like "It could be worse" and "Rescue mission." Rebel Assault would be nice though.
Although a 6-4 setup might screw you up every now and then, it is quite hard, even more as LS that tend to stick to the 3 initial objectives for longer.
It Could be Worse is certainly nice, as it's free and pretty much always useful. Rescue Mission is more of a gamble. Unless the card was captured from your hand, or you somehow looked at your deck by the same time the card gets captured, you're risking 2 resources in what could be a weak unit or not a unit at all. The rest of the cards in the pod are fairly useless, while every card in Defense of Yavin IV should prove useable at any time, except maybe the droid, which is decent edge fodder anyway.
We agree on the value of "It Could Be Worse." For my purposes in this deck, "Rescue Mission" is for Leia Organa—it will allow her to use her Interrupt ability multiple times if the cards fall right, and you do not have to wait until the objective is destroyed to rescue her. That being said, it is of limited use.
The "Common Ground," "Rebel Sympathizer," and objective cards are for ensuring that I will be able to play cards even if I do not have the resource match although the Sympathizers can also be used as blaster fodder.
I do see the value of "The Defense of Yavin 4" pod, and I may yet use it with this deck. For now, however, I am having fun with the deck as it is constructed.
