So resources and capture, tactics to stall cards like Han and Lando. The sandcrawler's death throes are highly amusing. Overall, a fun deck that has a chance against the new S&S decks. Comments and thoughts welcome.
While the deck might be fun, it seems to have some obvius problems dealing with bothersome characters on the board (since you dont have anything to help remove them outside of blaster icons) as well as sleuths and blockade runners where 4 of your 12 potential blockers disappear if they win a edge battle and none can kill a sleuth scout on their own.
Thanks for the thoughts, care to expand on the obvious problems and suggest solutions?
As said very well by Tiny and Ben on their podcast yesterday, the Light Side decks are forcing the deckbuilding for the Dark Side atm and you need to take the two popular builds into account if you want to have a strong viable deck. That doesn't meen that other decks can't be fun to play. If fun is the goal of this deck then there really is no strong reason to change it.

If you want to this deck to be better against the popular S&S decks you need some defensive pods for unit control that also ups the count of 2-cost units in the deck, for scum the choices tend to be either Greedo, Bossk or Tusken Raiders. In this case you don't have much synergy with the raiders which leaves Greedo and Bossk that both bring some targeted removal as well which helps against the Han/Chewie/Falcon decks.
Since you don't acutally have much benefit from capturing other than filling up your objectives (be it Feeding the Pit or jabba's Reach) or getting extra damage from Slave 1, one Hunt for Solo and one Carbonite Transport seems like a good place to start cutting.
Cool. Will give that a go. So 1 Hunt for Solo, 1 Carbonite and 1 each of Bossk and Greedo or would you run two of either?
Try one of each to start with, since noone seems to have found a pure scum build that they like you will likely have to swap around some pods.
I've found that scum decks tends to need alot of playtesting so if you have changed opinions of the deck after some games please post your thoughts!
Have played this extensively against the LHF deck and a couple of variants. It never really got close even with the suggested replacements. Now of the opinion that pure Scum decks are really not that good; my mate and I put a Sith/Scum control deck together that seemed to have better results despite only one play (will post that deck soon).

I did run a Hoth deck with Endor Gambit against the LHF and very nearly won. Will be interested to see what fared well at GenCon apart from the winning decks which are already up.
While Sith/Scum might be a better pick, you can try this (as suggested by Toqtamish) if you prefer pure scum:
