The best starting hand you could have with this build is a library and two 2 chuds. This deck is very good at ping to hand size 3 for the first two rounds building up a rock solid wall of blasters. Once your safe behold your wall and have the emperor or vader out you can safely let your hand return to 6 and start working on blowing up objectives. Bossk gives you 2 s that kill sleuth and a heat of battle bounty works wonders vrs freeholders and blockade runners and any other obnoxious thing they might that you can't instantly blow up. The deck has done me well vas all the new smuggler and jedi builds you see it also holds off speeder waves and sleuth.

If it weren't for the Heat of Battle, I'd suggest Greedo over Bossk.
Counsel really spoils Sith decks. How does this do on resources?

I have been running a version of this that subs 1 Jerec and 1 Emperor for 2 Counsel. Since Counsel is optional it doesn't hurt too bad if you have it vs. the new Smug decks, but it can help if against something else. Not to mention the rest of the pod is very useful. However, after playing with Jerec I am going to swap him and a counsel for 2 Maras I think. I only run 1 emperor now because I am too afraid of drawing 2 webs.
no one in our local meta has played anything but smuggler sense dash dropped... so i don't mind it so much - the interrogators work just fine for resources, and the emperor makes a fine edge card early game.

Do you have trouble getting Scum resources? You only have 4 objective sets.

I've fooled around with the 6/4 split more than I'd like recently and the resource lock isn't as bad as you'd suspect. In a deck like this where only Bossk and Utinni actually require S&V resources it's not so bad. My biggest fear is the Jawa's. I've been burned and burned too many people for having Jawa's on the board versus Dash. Until the meta calms down I think Jawas are a bad call in the meta.I'd rather run a mercenary support and a greedo or something along those lines.

How are you getting burned specifically? Losing the edge battle?

Yup it's pretty easy to do some swindle/outmanuever shenanigans to not let you participate in the edge battle. If they do that and send all those jawas to your hand you can have Dash hitting for 4-6 objective damage.
