it appears that every force storm deck starts with

    2x Palpatine

    2x Jerec

    2x Mara

What does the other 2 set add...is it worth taking the executor set out?

What about something like The Ghosts of the Dark Side or Serve the Emperor dbmeboy ?

Both were options instead of Palpatine, I felt he was the stronger choice and still on theme enough.

I think this is cool!  Very control-y but in a different way than a 'trad' Palpatine/Vader, et. al would be.

Similar to what I'd like to try if I had K&D. For now, I have 1 Ghosts and 1 Executor instead of Sariss. I'm still not sure if 2x Shadows of Dathomir is the way to go though. Save the Rancor, I actually love all cards in the pod, especially A Disturbance in the Force (focus what Storm and Shockwave cannot kill), but I sometimes feel 4x Nighsisters are a bit too much. Guess they don't slow you down as much if you have Dark Temple.

Anyway, you get my seal of approval.

I ran Shadows of Dathomir in my Sith control last year up until the point that Edge of Darkness released and they became too much of a liability against Sleuth Scouts. The entire set can be surprisingly effective.

Yeah, I remember the deck. Now with Echoes and the Mara pod to recommit the sisters, they become so much better. Furthermore, with all the protectors, they get to stick around a while longer. Disturbance in the Force is great when LS is trying to protect its units from the damage events, and the Hand's Blessing is super strong with all the tactics flying around nowadays.

Bit of a bump. Interesting deck. How do you think it would stack up against some Sleuthy shenanigans?

I think it could have big trouble against sleuths if they draw well and hit fast enough.  The deck is actually much more aggressive than the Sith Control decks we're all used to though, so it doesn't need to hold out quite as long.  Still probably in fun deck territory for now, but fun enough that I've actually built it to play around with (with Vader/Emperor x1 instead of Emperor x2).

I've actually gotten a few games in with the deck now... it actually seems to work.  I don't think it's tier 1 still, but better than I thought.  This is why I never dismiss decks just by looking at the list. :)

What changes would you make then? Which are the weakest sets in your opinion; would you completely scrap them or go for more 1x?

My main concern is that it doesn't have enough to throw in the way of Sleuths nor does it have much removal/targeted strike to whittle them down.  It may be more aggressive that a standard "Sith control" deck, but it still certainly isn't going to race sleuths.  That said, I haven't tested much against sleuths yet so maybe the wall of Inquisitors can slow them down enough to find a Force Storm...
