I ran this deck at a local gameday tournament, here in Minneapolis. It did very, very well. The Prophets of the Dark Side combo very well with Mara's objective, and their objective is super helpful in controlling the Force and allowing this Force Pushes. I have since thought about taking out Emperor and putting in the Slave Trader set, but the Emperor's Guard and Force Lightning were too crucial in the tournament. Has anyone else played and tested this build? I think it's almost Tournament Quality, but by the smallest of margins it's not quite there... yet. |

Not a fan of Serve the Emperor, and though I know it's a matter of taste, playstyle and local meta, I think going for 2x is a bit too much.
The prophets aren't any better than other units with Mara's objective. Anzati elite is too fragile, and if you use her as edge fodder, Vader and Jerec are better anyway.
That would give you space to squeeze in a Slave Trade, if you so want.
I've actually been tossing around the idea of dropping one Serve the Emperor and testing it with either one Slave Trade or one Findman's Intuition.
I would almost recommend a Boba or Bossk.
With all the protectors you should be able to keep boba alive and adding his armor to a protector can be good game if your opponent doesn't have swindle. You can add unit damage to Mara to ensure her targeted strike hits an opponent as well.
Bossk is just all around great for board control
And his two drops can help you against sleuths.
All this being said I'm a big fan of serve the emp. The objective can help fight gamor run. The weenies are great for deck cycling once you have the force. Anzati elite with four protectors in the deck is not as fragile as expected. And force push can decimate sleuths and is really handy for shutting down shifty outlooks and the weenies in gamor run.
Anger is great when you plan to hold the force but kind of expensive. I've used it before on a locked down chewy or Han.
I hadn't considered Boba. Thanks @Kennedy, I'll give it a shot.
Yeah, I like Serve the Emperor as well. The weenies do help cycle and are great for committing and triggering Mara's objective reaction. That being said, I think four of them is too much. So dropping one to add something else could help.
