Solid core unit. 2 for a 1/1/3 isn't great, but the Area of Effect ability is very useful. This unit makes a good counter to an enemy Rogue Trader or Void Pirate-- if the enemy moves their Warlord to engage you, you can probably survive the first hit and then inflict splash damage to both their Warlord and their capping unit. Also a very useful combat unit against opponents using Khymera, Snotling, or Cultist tokens.

What is nice about the space marines ATM is how much AOE damage you can include. it is easy to h ave almost 3-4 dmg on a planet. Makes up for the 1 attack cost IMO

Auto include card for sure. Its the 1/3 body, single Command, AoE 1 in the lategame is what that makes this a 5/5 for me.

You get the better half of the Daring Assault Squad for half the price.

Great card. No question.

BUT ... not a good card to play when facing an an enemy with only 1 unit at same planet. Hold on to this card -- if you can -- until it can be used at a planet with lots of enemies. Area Effect is great when it gets to hit lots of things.

Obvious point, I know, but I have seen lots of people throw this card out when they can't possibly get good value out of the AE attack.

Because sometimes you got nothing else and need some more bodies out there to contest command :x
