My guess, with a game like this, his attack will get big fast.

This is one of the most disappointing cards in the core set IMO. It costs 1 less base than Possessed but isn't a Daemon, so you can't discount it with Cultists or Splintered Path Acolytes. To make matters worse, the opponent would have to have 8 units in their discard pile (!!!) for this to have the same statline. Overall, this card is extremely not worth it in the early game and barely even better in the late game to make up for it.

You only need to have like 5, maybe 6, to make it comparable to possessed. One rec more is a big difference sometimes and 2-3 atk more don't make a big difference, since 90% dont have more then 5-6 Hit Points. Still, it is a late game card, so probable not really good. Maybe better then possessed if you don't have fall back in your deck.

Nurgle and Death Guard may get better synergy as the card pool increases in size.

True-- but Daemons already have synergy.

Though the card is no "ringer", it does have potential. Beefy health (for Chaos anyway) with the possibility to grow in attack size (considering Chaos capacity for killing off units).

I am thinking of this card more in Ork than Chaos. I could see this guy getting nasty with brutal + discard modifier.

Not a fan of this card, wish Chaos had some serious milling tech in order to make this good. But that currently is not in their spectrum and I seriously doubt it will be in there any time soon.

Because of that it feels like a very sub-optimal version of Possessed and that's even under good conditions.

Can't rate this card higher as 2/5.

I actually can see this card working well with Urien Rakarth since you will be able to pile up bunch of units with cheap discard and killing torture cards even before first battle begins. So potentially you'll be able to give them even more attack than possessed closer to the last planet.

Anyone using Chaos decks seeing better results out of this card with the release of Nurgling Bomb? Seems to me that keeping 2 in your deck for a later game appearance might be worth it.

This card should have a cost of 3, then it would be comparable with Khorne bezerker.

I doubt this card will se much play even if they buff the nurgle keyword in the future.

So, would probably still suck, but has anyone tried these guys with Urien? In a deck with 2-3 Crucibles of Malediction you could potentially discard enough units soon enough to actually make them worth the slot and resources.

Thoughts, experiences?

EDIT: lol, didn't notice already had mentioned this. Still want to know if someone has tried them though.

Pay one more, get a possessed.
