Timing question.
RRG, p. 6 and 9:
Destroy: "When a card is destroyed, it is placed faceup on top of its owner's discard pile."
Interrupt: "...resolves just before their triggering condition occurs..." "Always resolve interrupts to a triggering condition before resolving the consequences of the triggering condition itself."
So I'm guessing from reading the rules is this:
When Canoptek Swarm is destroyed, it first triggers the Interrupt ability. You pick a Necron unit from your discard pile and get it back into your hand, and then you destroy Canoptek Swarm and put it into your discard pile. Correct? Otherwise you could mill the swarm every time it gets killed, creating a cheap 1/2/2 token.
Correct, other than, it's a 0/2/2. Would obviously be crazy good if it was a 1/2/2.
Well if you have 2 Scarabs... but then again it is just 0/2/2
