This attachement has no limit, except the number of cards in hand and number of necrons at a planet. With the sentinel at the planet with 10 hp, this attachment has devastated opponents in the final battle. 2 thumbs up, wish this were a DE card.
Helps build targets for the Orb as well, whilst also being an option for a deploy stall especially if you plan to play a unit that you throw.
Am I the only one being bothered by the fact that the weapon in the picture isn't a sword? >:,( lol
Eh, it's sharp. That basically makes it a sword right?
I thought I was looking at it wrong. "Sure it looks like a Hyperphase Glaive to me, but to them, I'm the one that looks weird."
eh, as a dork I have to say a glaive is basically a blade stuck on the end of a pole, hence the term pole arm. This clearly isn't a pole, but it has some definite similarities to an axe... So hyperphase axe?
Isn't it more like a halberd?
Naa, it doesn't have a top spike, and the height and angle of the grip implies its not a polearm.
If this is a polearm, I'd call it a glaive. As it is "axe" is probably the best word.
Well, like I said, I thought I was looking at it wrong, and obviously was. It definitely looked like a polearm to me, but I guess now that you guys mention it, I can see that the handle does end somewhere in that vague mostly-undifferentiated blackness in the lower left corner of the art, rather than continue "off-camera" to where another hand might be attached.
I thought it was just some hyperphase sharp killy necron thingy ... think it should just be called hyperphase blade to keep it simple tho
While this art is definitely deceiving, If you do a google search for the "hyperphase sword 40k" and look at the images from other games, it definitely is a sword.....
Like a metal practice sword with a large green energy thing coming off one side.
I guess it must be what they define, suppose it's not up to us to judge necron culture and what they determine is a sword, don't want to be the next one to appear on their enslavement dial.
it is a little swordy when you look at pictures tho ...
