This can only get better with a bigger card pool. I look forward to the time where I use a jank deck where all my non sig units are highlander, to maximise chances of using this.

So many possible combos. Trading a Harpy that just knelt everything out for a Ravener feels strong. Trading a crippled card that just tanked loads of attacks for a hard hitting full health one feels solid. Getting ambush cards back to hand , triggering enters/leaves play effects, so much potential.

I think this card is very strong and will only gain power. The ability to remove an almost destroyed unit for a hale one is great on its own. But to change the units on the fly from say, a strong unit like Pyrovore against a tough target to more of a swarm control like the Termagant Horde is excellent. Or hit them for 3 with the Pyrovore and then use this event to get an Invasive Genestealer to maybe remove that last remaining HP on an enemy unit. I love this card!

Me too, but like Dark Cunning its a reasonably strong combat trick that messes with maths at one step removed. I think much as I want to run this card, I'm going to find it hard to make cuts for it.

Only Invasive Genestealers don't trigger from put into play effect.

As someone pointed out, much better is the possibility to drop Spore Sacs to AoE 1 and infest the planet immediately.

You could even switch out the invasive genestealer with a spore sacs, AoE/Infest, then ambush the genestealers back in (resources providing) to kill whatever didn't die

You can swap out your heavily damaged elite after it swings for a nice fresh one from hand.

Also great if you get squiggified

This card has some interesting synergies with the sneaking in your Hive Mind units into situations on he fly so they can be much more effective. Hive Guard, Termagant Spikers and Termagant Horde all have a cost of 3 so they all qualify to be switched out for one or the other. Tyranid Warriors and Volatile Pyrovore also have a cost of 3 and can be switched out or switched in depending on unit placement and board position. The rest o the remaining Hive Mind units cost less with the exception of the AoE unit, allowing for some ambush like plays depending on how you have your Termagant tokens placed. What I really like is being able to deploy a Scythimg Hormagant to infest a planet, then sudden adaptation a Toxic Venomthrope and bring back the Hormagant for redeployment to another planet to infest. You now have two targets to commit a Gravid Tervigon if it was chosen as synapse and your a turn ahead on the Econ benifit of the Venomthrope. This does however drain all of your resources from the start if you have these puzzle pieces in your opening hand however. None he less something I will be trying out.
