All factions without AoE are officially dead.

Naaa. Its two units at different planets, so hardly a swarm, and those units are pretty useless without Hive Mind specialisations enhancing them.

Plus, looking at the set as a whole, I have to say I don't rate Tyranids, and don't expect them to be meta-shaking.

Just as the meta weakness of orks has meant that Dakka Dakka hasn't killed the 1-for-1 command game, so too does the meta weakness of Tyranids mean that swarm-weak T1 decks (and lets be clear, we're basically talking about Eldorath, right?) are any weaker because of Swarmlord.

My favourite of the two Tyranid Warlords in this expansion. I've been playing around with deck ideas, and there are so many options already...granted, most of the cards in this set seem to work better with this guy rather than Old One Eye!

So happy the 'Nids are here :)

Thematically I much prefer the Swarmlord to the other Tyranid WLs, as Tyranids for me are about an unending horde of cheap termagants flooding over everything.

Still, even a whole cycle and additional Deluxe in, he's probably the weakest. This is purely because "Hivemind" (which seems to be the Swarmlords thing) is still nowhere near strong enough to really carry a deck.

There are a few sorta nice effects here and there, but in general you never get either a critical mass of tokens nor a truly battlewinning hivemind combo going. Especially not both.

If only we'd get some good effects to move termagant tokens or hivemind units around to fascilitate that...

I still think Swarmlord is strong if you can make good use out of Mycetic Spores.
