Game winner right here. Reusing area effect units is so powerful in big fights. Reusing ranged area effect/ion rifled units is even more painful. And if you use it when Shadowsun has his Command Link Drone you even get to stand her up straight away.

Throw in synergy with Squadron Redeployment to get a version of Tellyporta Pad and you have my favourite card of the pack (probably cycle!) for sure. 5/5

An great event for a Control Warlord such as Shadowsun.

While I feel other Warlords are much more likely to include other 1 Shield Events/Attachments I do feel that this card is a right boost for a Warlord who deserved another boost. However with Shadowsun ideally having 2-3 units around with Attachments it's not unlikely 2 of those units will be able to strike again before another round of combat begins. For her this is a huge boost for a lategame situation.

2/5 normally, 4/5 for Shadowsun.

I think this event is leaning me back towards the gunline, rather than Kingsley's "modern" build on Shadowsun. Having multiple ranged attacks sounds like a great 2 resource spend.

What you all thinking?

I feel the same. More ranged=more win :D

I need to see if I am reading this right:

Since "For the Tau’va" readies all units you control that have an attachment AFTER you exhaust your warlord, does having an attachment on your warlord mean they will be readied by the card?

If so, that is bonkers

Yes, your WL will also be readied. I believe it's due to the TO part, which means there's a first and second part, exhaust then ready.

I would love to be able to hit with Cato for three times armorbane with this and his stronghold in play.

This card seems like it would be great in a SM/Tau deck with AOE units with attachments.

Absolutely. Just a couple more viable non loyal Tau/space marine attachments away from Ambush platform Cato being a thing imo.

Eldar otoh not so good on the attachments...

Glad you can't!

For the Tau'va has a cost of exhausting the warlord, of course, so you can't really use it to generate additional attacks out of your warlord.

On the other hand, if you have an attachment on Cato, and an Honoured LIbrarian with Storm Bolter, then you could dish out a lot of damage over multiple librarian attacks with a copy or two of this event.

This card is much better than i thought it would be!

Ion rifle marksman

Anybody with a promotion

Warlords with their attachment

This sounds like a great card for cato/tau 3 ion, 3 bolter, 2-3 promotion and 2 ambush platform for shenanigans

Another thing that is catching people out with this (though likely won't be by tourney time) is that if you commit your warlord with your ranged guys, you can trigger it before ranged strikes to have them all ready to fight that turn. Also, it doesn't have to be at all telegraphed, as you can get the attachment on with Shadowsun's ability.

Recent game, I had Shadowsun commit with a Trailblazer and Stingwing Swarm with Ion Rifle. My opponent had played a Mystic Warden at one, presumably to force me to commit there if I wanted the win.

I committed to two (where I was expecting his Warlord, and in fact met him), reacted with a Cadre on Trailblazer. Then in command action window I played this event.

Then I went mobile to Planet 1 with the newly enhanced and readied Trailblazer, used the battle ability to rout the fighting unit the opposing warlord had deployed. Then at planet 2, I dealt a chunk of damage, and the opposing warlord did his 2 damage (that I shielded) and fled at the end of the round.

The combination of planet 1 win, and setting up position for the next turn... Planet icon victory, three turns.

We have rally the charge decks, now we will have a new Tauva decks ;)

Yep, basically another deck that punishes 6HP warlords. 2-shielders don't mean much against an ranged attack at 8 or 2x ranged attacks at 5!

Space Marine players are likely feeling better about Indomitable and Iron Halo all the time...

Does this card allow your ranged units to attack twice during ranged attack phase?

Assuming you play it and ready the units before the end of the Ranged skirmish, yes.

I think this card is now firmly established as a x3 for Shadowsun Gunline decks, as the spike damage potential is just marvellous.

Curious though: I've seen one or two Aun'shi players use it to good effect, both to keep their Armourbane going another round, and to create more armourbane attacks. I've not tried it myself. Analysis in that context?
