A fantastic replacement for Bodyguard in any AM deck!

The untapping of Catachan Outpost remains the most powerfull option in my experience, as such people might aswell read this card as Action: Target unit gets +2 ATK for it's next attack this phase.

Otherwise the option to untap other AM supports remains great aswell.

If the Catachan Outpost is not around it's two-shields, a win-win situation.

5/5

Don't leave home without it. I already love Catachan Outpost and this beautiful card lets me abuse it more. :)

I can already see Coteaz hitting for 7 each battle..Imagine if you're also running no mercy with him..oh god...

I wonder if this card will make 10+ support AM decks truly viable.

In all honesty I think 10 is the perfect number (much is true for the Augur and ECT in terms of "Attachments").

Dilemma time!

AM loves this card, because it has 2 shields and a strong effect, and because AM loves Supports.

However, if you want the AM-support deck, its probably also the AM mono-swarm deck, and that deck loves Preemptive Barrage and Suppressive Fire. And if you want to run 3 of those two, room starts getting tight. After all, we probably want MORE than 10 AM Supports, really, especially if we're busting out the Enginseer Augurs and if we're playing this card.

Promotion is cut already, but whats next if we want to get more than 10 AM Supports in?

I guess Suppressive Fire can go down to 2, and we can scrap 30 Army Units, to give 11 Supports total. 2 Preemptive Barrages too would get us up to 12 Supports.

How does that sound balance wise?

It holds some nice potential Asklepios altough much like the Attachments in Tau, I don't feel like going beyond the 10 Support cards. Again I feel To Arms! holds more subtle value than straight up in your face (Warlock Destructor/Klaivex Warrior/Drop Pod) value. As such I feel okay with just running these as Shields during early and midgame and dominate when possible in the lategame.

Yeah it doesn't have to go exclusively in Support-heavy decks - even in a deck that just runs Outposts it'll be 2 shields the rest of the time, and I still include Suffering in my DE deck *purely* for the 2 shields.

That card is great indeed. Lot of versatility for free!! 5/5

Does trigger Black Ship, then To arms and then trigger again work?

Does triggering black ship, then To Arms, then trigger again work?

No, because you can play To Arms! only as an action.

No.

Black Ship is an interrupt. To Arms is a standard action. By the time you can play the action of To Arms, the sacrifice effect/action Black Ship interrupts is resolved and it is too late to interrupt it again. You'll need a new sacrifice before you can use the newly readied Black Ship again.

Lucky Coteaz will have a 2nd victim ready :)
