Best point of comparison is Sanctioned Psyker - less HP in exchange for 1 attack. Also, in a meta that will include dakka, we will be valuing command icons that have more than 1 HP to a greater degree.
Very decent 2 drop deserves a very decent rating.

In my opinion the most significant card in the pack, with the possible exception of dakka. Simultaneously solving the command problems of three factions, two of which (Orks and AM) were having a hard time in the command phase.

Yes, just like Sanctioned Psyker
So which card do we prefer generally.
I'm thinking for Nazdreg, the Psyker is better because it has more Brutal potential and is more survivable. For AM and SM decks, the Recruts seem better. Of course, the likelihood is that most decks that can will run both
I just wish they had a soldier or warrior trait. :/
AM needed a 2 cost drop with two hammers and an attack, but damn this would have made Straken even prettier if they had the soldier or warrior trait.

i would say because it is a conscript and we'll see an advantage with this keyword down the road...
I'm glad it doesn't as it would have made it far too easy a choice for Straken to carry this in place of Sanctioned Psyker. While I'm sure the Soldier trait doesn't add to the cost of a card in the design stage, the fact is that its presence on any card that Straken can access has significant benefits.
