It's Bork'an Recruits. 5/5

Like all Warlord Groupies this is another clear cut example of a great card to me, however not perfect by any means since they still only have 2 HP to work with. Making them ideal targets for anything that has Ranged or can "steal" Combat initiative.

4/5

Straken’s other biker gang. 5/5

So awesome. 5/5

It's Bork'an Recruits. 5/5

Its better than Bork'an Recruits, because Straken gives them another attack, and Staging Ground lets it turn up with Ambush.

Well bork'an get's armorbane with Aun'shi an possibly 7 attack with an ion rifle. I think they are pretty even :P

They are and these 5/5 ratings are bit to crazy when we have plentora of even more awesome 2 drops who arguably serve a better and more reliant role.

The main reason I do not rate 2 costed Warlord-groupies over 4/5 is because while they are great they still have 2 HP which is rather easy to destroy and when no Warlords appear (or leave mid-battle) their usefullness is renderd much lower as say the usefullness of a Warlock Destructor, Tactical Squad Cardinis or Snakebite Thug...

Right, totally agree with that. I think Bork'an Recruits was a 5/5 when it arrived, and is a 4/5 now. This card is a 4/5 as well, as I'm probably running it most of the time, but its competing for deck space with other strong 2-costers.

it's hard for me to imagine many 2-cost cards I'd prefer over this. I love Thugs and Ogryns, but I think being able to ambush 5 damage (with Straken) is just the scariest thing.

Very true, very true.

For me, its failed to make the cut for me in my Zarathur deck: between Rotten Plaguebearers, Chaos Fanatics, Flamers and Snakebite Thug, the 2-costed unit slots are all full. I could cut some 1 or 3 costers to make room for them, but prefer things as they are.

In Straken, for sure, they're there as a 3x, and they're currently also in my Coteaz, Nazdreg and Zogwort decks, though they're not as fixed there. Nazdreg in particular seems to be broadly anergistic with them.

For me rotten plagueberear are failing the cut U_U

Guess it depends on playstyle. The Plaguebearers follow a more control-esque style and can be quite versatile, while the Bikers favor direct engages and are about the hardest-hitting 2-cost unit in the game, under the right circumstances.

Really?

Out of Ku'gath I can see that, but for Zarathur its effectively Ranged 2 that happens at such long range it trumps even Fenrisian Wolf. And then, if it survives the round, it gets to do it all over again the next round. Plus, if you don't want to play him as a combat player, he's superlative in command struggles upstream as he can give a draw this turn, and then ping for 1 damage at the end of command phase.

A Warbiker, otoh, hits somewhat later in the combat round, and you even have to have Zarathur hanging round long enough for non-Ranged attacks to smack him in the face.

Plaguebearers are probably the most useful unit in my Zarathur deck, I'd say.

Stupid card reading question: It says "with a warlord," so if your opponent's warlord shows up and you do not, it still counts, yes?

Yes. "With a warlord" means any warlord, as opposed to "with your warlord" or "with an opponent's warlord" to indicate a specific one.
