i play these in my decks and am always surprised they don't get more play
Yeah this card is amazing! Especially with The Kindly Man (VM) and House Umber Berserkers (BoRF) combo. I like to slap it on Lucas Blackwood (GotC). That poor guy just can't catch a break. lol

I like putting it on Refugees for near guaranteed triggering or onto a stalwart guy to use as MIL claim.
The only thing that sucks there is Tin Link. Although generally you are still fine. ~Also, who uses Stalwart?!

Ser Kyle Condon (APS) is pretty decent repeatable claim and doesn't clog up your draw.
Yeah Condon is good. But he's the only one.
what about a combo with Arya Stark (CoS)??

works great
I use this on my Kindly Man, Lucas Blackwood, and after that I marshall a House Umber berserker...
Pretty cool on Maege Mormont (AHM) too.

Pretty cool on Maege Mormont (AHM) too.

On maege mormont cataput goes to discard pile
Catapult goes to discard pile regardless of what character you attach it to. Once a character leaves play any attachments on it get discarded.

Correct. The good news is, unlike Venomous Blade (TBoBB), you are not trying to change the moribund destination of the catapult. When it's condition is met (attached character is moribund:anywhere) then you can trigger this response. The fact that the attached character is moribund means any attachments on it are also moribund. At Step 6, all moribund cards leave play.

Why would you play this instead of stuff like Die by the Sword or No Quarter? Fairly easy triggers, no telegraphing, not vulnerable to attachment hate, doesn't suck up your Limited Response (which may actually mean something in the next cycle).

What are the pros for Icy Catapult?

Some times people think more when issuing Mil challenge when they know it will be one for one or none (Stawrat char) for one.

Plus you might not have War Crests and might want an option to kill characters as well as No Quarter.

Note that "leaves play" means you can arguably trigger it more easily than events, for example with Coldhands.
