I'm bringing Lannis back...yea!
I played a Lannister KOTHH deck for a regional recently. This card was money in it.
Ideal for those quality cost 3 Greyjoy characters. Like it.
It is STR 3 not cost 3. Not that it changes a lot for Greyjoy.

Ah yes your right, my mistake. Your also right on it not changing much from a Greyjoy perspective I suppose, off the top of my head most the cost 3 characters I was thinking about are all strength 3 as well.
It is such a great card. You can get characters like The Red Viper, Cersei, Arianne Martell, Tommen, Heralds, Watchful Servants, Enemy Informer, Varys, Ser Arys Oakheart back. Anything you can think of that has a come into play or a leave play ability you can abuse with this card. I had multiple games at the regional were i used the same Herald 2 to 3 times in a single game to go search for characters. I even got back a Varys against burn to get rid of Magister Illyrio.
For me, it really looks like Retreat (Core) but with a influence cost...
Except Retreat happens when a unique character is killed, whilst this works on non-uniques so long as they aren't Str 4+, and can be done as and when you need it.
It is also not a response, so if you pay the cost with a holy crest, your opponent can't play He Calls It Thinking on it.
Glad its not Targa, they are already becoming crazy necromancers
Can you return
The Red Viper (PotS)?

Yes, his passives are only in effect while he is in play.
