Lion's Gate is a card I'm just starting to use, & I regret not trying it before.

This can be used to discard a power from a House card right, since in the FAQ it states that House cards are considered to be "in play"?

If this is the case, is there a reason this doesn't really see much play these days other than competition for card slots and location hate?

"from a non-House card in play".

Damn.

Read the card.

Looked for "Errata" in red writing.

Still missed it.

Only new errata is in red. This errata hasn't been new for years, so looking for red isn't going to help.

Sorry, didn't realise it was an errata which I would have missed. Didn't mean my reply to come across quite so patronising...

All good. I'm going to have to pay closer attention. I prefer to read the card images rather than the supporting text.

I guess if I refer to my original question, I think this card is still a decent card, but probably mainly for trait manipulation and combos with Ser Arys, Dissension etc. Is this how this card is primarily used?

Certainly with Dissension, but I'd say also a combo with the Lannister Infamy keyword. It's still a strange aspect of the game that all of the houses have their 'signature' keyword, but then there's hardly enough cards to make a dedicated deck around that (i.e. Stark and Stalwart). But this could definitely boost off a few Infamy guys, i.e. give them the Bannerman trait to interact with the Bannerman boosters, Knight plots, etc, etc.

Making your guy into a king for Pyromancers Cache/shutting down enemy kings is a good use too.

Or making it into a raven if it has a way to remove attachments - far more difficult to achieve though.
