This is just.... so powerful.

If you're not planning to include many city plots, it's just great.
It might even replace Respect of the Old Gods (LoW) in some Stark decks.

nice, i mess around with lannister army decks and don't really need much gold from plot, so say hello to a free Burned Men
The Viper's Bannermen (PotS)

That is just amazing!
Okay... Thundering Calvary (QoD) just became FREE. Coupled with a The Dragonpit (TftRK) bye bye 2 STR characters. Pre-plot a The Hatchlings' Feast (ASitD) and you might just have a one-sided board clear on some rounds. Vicious.

If only it didn't have the No-City plots stipulation as many Targ burn decks tend to run At the Gates (GotC) to grab Advisor to the Crown (QoD) to get 2 Influence on the board right away. So, you'd have to choose between the two... having a 2 Claim plot with a free Army... might just be enough if you're running enough Influence in general.
I would be less inclined to run this along side other City plots, but if I were to play a deck with enough Army characters to make it worthwhile, then getting one out for free and having a Claim 2 turn would be good.
This and Robb Stark (KotS) just seems so wrong!

As paindemic pointed out. This with The Viper's Bannermen (PotS) is just too good. Getting a great army out for free plus getting cards during the plot phase that don't count against your draw limit.

I was thinking Bannermen too - Maybe it's time for me too to build a Bara Armies deck with those cards, See who is Stronger etc :D
well it says in-house so you better have some good baratheon armies there as well ;)
Ire, Joy-Killer.

:(

Oh well. Then I can go for Laughing Storm + Val combo instead.
If it is on time 2 or 3 weeks.

Expected release date?

The chain of City Plots has become one of my favorite setups. By turn five I'm usually killing a character with strength four or kneeling four characters. This just made the City plots *more* insane.
this could lead to one scary turn . great plot with or without other city plots

Seems to me this plot + Knights of the Storm (KotStorm) is a good combo, especially given the fact more than likely you won't be first player anyway.

Would it be an issue with the "put into play" text of the plot verse the "play from hand" text of the KotS army?

The plot says "play from your hand" so I'm not sure where there would be a problem.
put into play =/= playing. The armies meantioned earlier all say when enters play/comes into play, those work. The card isn't played when its put into play from your hand.
Still works with Viper's Bannermen though :D

@emptyrepublic. The difference is the plot says "put into play from hand" which means cost is ignored and responses on a card being brought into play or entering play can be triggered. However, since the army says "play from your hand" while worded similar to the plot doesn't work since "put into play" is different than regular "play."

Jeez, FFG can really make your head spin with the wording at times and the level of parsing that needs to be performed.

Still works with Viper's Bannermen though :D

That's all that matters.
even if the army is shadow crested, it bypasses the shadow part and puts it directly into play?

Are there any other effects other than Grand Maester Pycelle (TRS) to get your used plots back?
