Good stats 2for2 bicons, good keywords army and clansman. Support for clansman build where it finds place supporting small hand tactics. +4 STR should be enough to change challenge outcome and can stop our opponent with attack or force him to assign more characters to crucial challenge.

Agree. I have NEVER played a Lanni deck (not even Core!) but I think this card is awesome. Seems just solid all around - very good utility card for almost no matter what kind of Lanni deck you are building. A good "weenie" to fill a couple slots, or as I suppose a staple for a clansmen deck.

Props to the artist, too. VERY cool illustration!

Can i boost a character's STR with Painted Dogs to save that character from being killed for effect of a plot card like "Threat from the north" or for some Targ burn cards like equipments or events?

I think once a card is moribund you have to initiate a save with +str boost to keep it from going away.

A few things to note here.
1) As an Any Phase ability, you can only trigger this ability as your player action. (see timing chart near the back of the FAQ)
2) All "saves" or "cancels" are labeled as Responses (Most Responses are NOT "saves/cancels" effects)
3) There are very few cards that can "save" from burn, but cards such as as Rhymes with Meek (ARotD) is one.
4) If you used this ability before Threat from the North is revealed you could indeed potentially save that character. However at the end of the phase when the buff wears off they would likely be discarded.
5) If the Targ player takes a player action to put a Flame-Kissed (Core) on your 3 STR character, you have the next opportunity at a player action. This is where you could kneel the Painted Dogs to give that character a boost.

Oh ok guys, so i can't save a character, who has 0 STR but i can give him a 2-4 STR boost if he isn't moribund. Painted Dogs aren't a counter to burn then!! Burn is so good guys, Lannisters have no responses to that!
