Its usage seems to come and go over the years, but Fleeing to the Wall is a respectable form of location reset. Really, the choice of its use is extremely meta dependent though, so be sure to study the field that you expect to see.
Would have been nice if the Stark player at the 2012 Worlds joust championship final game would have had this. The Targ KotHH player had like 12 locations in play!
Well, the problem with this is always what to take out xD. I think with 1 more gold or 2 more initiative this would see more play (especially now that we have HoDreams)
I agree. This plot and "Snowed Under" are two plots in particular that I have always wanted to use a lot, but almost always end up replacing with plots with more reliable (if not mediocore) effects and/or better stats.

This is a great plot, especially with HoD running around. Sandbagging a location or two for a turn so you can wipe out three or four of your opponent's locations is totally worth putting up with 3 gold.

Why does this have the "Others" trait? Has that ever come into play? Or are there any cards that interact with the trait?

No there's nothing that interacts with it, it is really just a flavor and possible future thing.
It's because it was around back in the old CCG days when Others was a plot cycle like City or River plots are now. When reprinting cards that were around in the CCG days, unless they actually errata the card, they try to keep the text identical to what it used to be so that the CCG version of the card is still legal to use in the LCG (as they've made a ruling that if it isn't, the CCG card isn't tourney-legal). This means sometimes they include erroneous/useless text. Another example of this is Valar Morghulis (Core) saying "Limit one per plot deck" even though that's the normal limit anyway. Although who knows, maybe in the future they will indeed bring the Others cycle back, and this card will suddenly become more relevant?

(Not saying it's not relevant now, just that without a plot cycle built around it it's a lot less convenient a lot of the time than, say, A City Besieged)

can this be effected by greenseers raven?

Yes, it has a trait and when revealed effect.
