Lannister doesn't get many saves, so this is one of their only options. While it's nice that it does save from discard as well as kill, and it doesn't have a negative trait like Condition, this rarely sees play in decks- due I'm sure to being fragile as an attachment as well as requiring a gold to be kept on hand. Keeping that gold is a tricky thing to predict, and can frequently just amount to taxing yourself every turn.
