Robb was always one of my favorite characters in the books. However, at a 4/2, he's basically overcosted, even with his awesome game text. He can be used in a defensive Stark deck to some effect, although both the army-reducer as well as the trait-helper may be better versions in general for those decks, especially since they have renown. Look at King Renly for example - he costs only *3* gold, and has a huge, huge piece of gametext when combined with The Stormlands, and with 4 str, he's incredibly powerful. This particular Robb, on the other hand, needs a shave and a significant boost before anyone would play him, in my opinion.

Agree with you, strength two also him makes way to vulnerable to character removal as well. Also personally think this card is also weakest art wise of all Robb Stark cards.

he can be very effective in a direwolf deck... high mil ability may mean you are almost ganrenteed to win a mil challenge then add on a reliable choice kill... if he were str 3 he may be over powered
I think the biggest issues he has are: a), 4 gold for 2 strength just is bad, when you consider that Flame-Kissed (Core) is a very popular card in the current meta (and while it isn't, Venomous Blade (TBoBB) should be!); and B) Robb Stark (KotS) and Robb Stark (LoW) are arguably better versions of him, with which one obviously dependant on the build you're running - but either way, seriously reducing the amount of play this version sees.
My buddy soley uses this Robb for his murder deck for the added targeted kill. He'll ensure his wins with
Endless Endurance (LoW) if he needs to, throw down a No Quarter (TBC), all the while running HoD Bear Island (AE). It can get quite brutal

His ability is a response, so it occurs after claim has been determined. You would simply want to choose and kill a character that they did not pick as claim (if possible).

Is this correct? I assumed you choose the kill immediately after you determine the winner before claim so in most instances you would choose to kill the same character for both Robb's ability and claim?

Surly you have missed the opportunity to respond if you wait until after claim?

I think Omek is right. I read the flow charts in the FAQ like this:

At the end of the challenge there is a framework window in wich you

1. determine the winner

2. Implement challange result (kill car)

3. reward unopposed

4. award renowm

after this all framework events are resolved. we follow step 4 of the frame work window which are the passive abilities and then there is step 5 where you can trigger responses.

at this point Robb's ability kicks in and you choose and kill another char if there is another char to kill.

Ok thanks, so basicly I can trigger this ability anytime after winning a military challenge (in which he participates) right up untill another challenge is initiated, the next player begins challenges or the challenge phase ends?

you can trigger his ability after you won a mil chal and after all passive effects were resolved. then there is time for all responses. when all responses are done, all killed cards leave play an you continue with your next challange, the next player starts his challanges or you end the phase.

Thanks, i get it now.

just one more question. does deadly happends same time as renown?

It happens in the same framework step (after the challenge result is implemented but before responses can be triggered). The order they resolve doesn't matter due to the timing structure as characters killed for deadly aren't removed until after the responses to the challenge.
