So reduction is by 2 (like on the card) or by 1 like in the text above ?
Of course that's what the card say. So it's a reduction of 2.
???

I'm not sure what you both are talking about. The actual card says to reduce the first unique Wildling you play by 1 each round and that you need two additional power to win the game. There is no reduce by 2.
Haha okay. Look at the card from the Gallery here:

There it says "by two". Here would be the right card:

Ahhhh, thanks for the clarification
Whenever in doubt, remember the "Most Recent Printing" rule on Pg 4. However, This card actually has two errata in the FAQ on page 5:
Blood of the First Men Should read: "... You may run any number
of different The North agendas that have the
word Wildling in their text."

And

Blood of the First Men Should read: "Reduce the cost of the first
unique Wildling character you play from your
hand each round by 1."

I'm not sure I understand how this is worth needing 2 extra power to win. If it was reducing the cost by 2 then yeah but this errata just seems to have made this card completely pointless

There's definite advantages to reducing the cost of characters. 2 gold for Mance Rayder who can kneel to blank this agenda and negate the power penalty, plus the benefit of one gold per turn. Its not bad but the other Wildling agendas are better.
