Yes he does. Not sure why, I think it has to do with the response timing window being open while he is coming out of shadows. Someone may correct me here if I'm wrong on this.

That is correct. He does trigger himself. The reason being is that he technically comes out of Shadows during Step 3 of the Player Action window and is able to trigger his response in Step 5.

So if his text gets blanked (Meera, frozen moat, etc) after his response has kicked in, do any of his buffs remain active/in effect?

The buffs aren't printed, they are created by a lasting effect. The buffs will stay untill the end of phase.

Do I pick deadly, renown, no attachments,immune to events separately or I have 2 options:
Option1: deadly, renown, no attachments,
Option 2: immune to events ?

Isn't the artwork for this inaccurate? The only time he was ever down in the tunnels after his facial injury was after

It could be him walking down from the hands tower as well since the injury could be something else? (the injury doesn't look as devastating as the books tell of that part.)
Still nothing like the incredible Blue Hulk Victarion who has burned his wrong hand and is on the boat without any short of armor

Regardless, in the picture he's depicted with "half a nose" and by the time he woke up from that, he shouldn't be walking around wearing the Hand's necklace.

He doesn't though, it's just his hair is parted a little funny. And the discussion of "X character should totally have Y Trait" is a rabbit hole with no bottom. Traits have always partaken equally from Nedliness and Game Balance concerns.

I'm you writ small i can see a scar going from the nose to the eye, and an obviously messed up nose, this just looks like a pug nose and no scar

Alright Grim, having consulted a coworker on this one i am apparenlty "full of sh*t" if i think thats not half a nose, so i'll concede the art doesnt make sense
