Because this is a passive effect, not a response, that makes it non-optional, right? How does this work with saves?
If my king with a dupe on him would be killed, an I use the dupe to save him? Or must he be returned to my hand (and the dupe discarded)?
if you save your king it isn't killed, so the passive would have no target. watch the timing in the FAQ for details
"Cannot" is absolute, so Aloof and Apart trumps this.
