He's nice for shadows... but it's kind of hard to justify him over over the others, since they have powerful keywords (and one is cheaper while the other is classic trait hate). Even in a shadows deck I'm not sure I'd take this version.
He's sort of like the poor mans Darkstar (PotS), though better in some ways, he's lacking those lovely keywords. I can't see this not making the cut in most Targ decks, shadows or not.
I think the biggest problem is that most of the time you'd rather take the ally discard version. What he does provide is some intrigue protection for Dothraki decks, which are probably the worst decktype at that challenge, threatened regularly even by Stark (especially Boltons).

Here's a question, since I'm unfamiliar with Shadows rules.
If I already have a copy of Ser Jorah either in play or in shadows, am I able to keep any other copies in hand and still use their effect? If so, furthermore to that, if Ser Jorah is in play, am I able to reveal another copy from shadows to attach as a duplicate and would that still cost 1gold or be free (like regular play of a dupe).

Yes, he would go into shadows, and you would draw a card.

You can take him out of shadows but you must pay 1g cost, and then attach him as a dupe.

Cheers, although I'd already answered my own question when I found the Shadows rules regarding duplicates. Still, I'm glad this is so, a bit of hand protection, a bit of draw to boot. Nothing to sniff at if I'm not running the other Ser Jorah.
