So we have location which gives us net 2 gold similar to all almost staple seas. Sea can work better for decks which rely heavily on influence. We can bounce it back to our hand using
Search and Detain (HtS) but I don't think it makes sence for 2 gold. It can help to finish game having Daven Lannister (GotC) ot Tywin Lannister (LotR).
Maybe there will be some other cards (I hope so) that can move or add gold tokens as a player action. So you can make this card as a vault, and maybe there will be some option that the unused tokens can be put on this card - with a help of another card(s). or there will be some location cost reduction... so many maybes. 8))
As a standalone the new Tywin and Kevan pops into mind.
How does this card work if played in setup?

@Hexonox - per the rulebook, it doesn't count as being played from your hand or put into play... thus, it would not get 4 gold pu on it. (I.e. fairly useless)
Can you kneel it to move zero gold to your gold pool (ie is zero a valid number), if you want to bounce it with Snowed Under?

From discussions about Dissension (QoD), when it says something like "up to" you can indeed choose zero. This says "any number" so I would think that you could.

Although this makes perfect sense, consider the rulings on Young Griff. "After YG comes out of shadows, stand any number of characters you control." But, if you stand 0 characters, you won't get the Then part of the effect (to bring another dude out of shadows). This implies to me that zero is in fact not a valid number and I would argue that "Up to" can be zero (as in City of Sin) but that "any number" is a non-zero integer greater than or equal to one.

Gotta love AGoT rules.

Of course, I could be wrong.....

Ah, I didn't recall that about YG. Then I would agree with OKTarg's stance.
OKTarg is correct. For the same reason, you cannot choose to kneel 0 Warships with Naval Escort (ASitD). And in case you're wondering why you'd ever want to do that, sometimes you want an effect to be cancelled, for instance so you could kneel Maester Murenmure (CbtC) with a bunch of chains or to 'use up' the cancel of The Painted Table (TBC).

There's a very similar discussion regarding Whispers from the Hill (ASoSilence). I understand, too, that "up to" can include 0, but some people argue that the "then" effect would not be triggered if you move 0 power. I'm not so convinced that the rules are clear regarding "up to" and "any number", and I don't feel the distinction between the two is so obvious.
Help me out here: If my opponent has a River Blockade (RoR) out, can I kneel my
own empty (without any gold on the card) Coin Mint to add 0 gold to my gold pool, thus being the first location effect of my round to be canceled?
Legal because "any" number can be 0.
I asked Fantasy Flight about kneeling Coin Mint with 0 gold on it & they responded: "Thanks for your question! The answer I was able to get from the developers is yes, you may kneel a Coin Mint for it's ability with 0 gold tokens on it. If you need a more detailed explanation, you may submit your question to the rules site at http://www.fantasyfl...om/edge_faq.asp. Take care!" #Woot!
