This is a game winner. I kept placing power on him through his Infamy keyword, until he had 6 power tokens on him. I then won Dominance by 4 or more and had 7 gold in my gold pool. Paid 6, put 6 more on him for the win. This should be an auto add to any Lannister Deck.
He's too expensive for his ability which anyway is not easy to be triggered. He's 4for3 bicons with Lord and Infamy. Stats are not impresive so he will be mainly played for his ability. He can be potential game finisher but to trigger his ability you must fullfill several conditions. Win dominance by 4 STR what will be not easy as our opponent see threat and can keep forces cor Dominance. Then he must have X power to pay X gold to claim so many power. If we gather via Infamy power on him he will become main target for our opponent and anyway he is slow with this ability.
Put 3x the new Tywin, 3 from the new card coint mint, followed by 3x Daven (with renown mayheps), and you have the base of a deck which works only for the one-and-only-key-moment. Of course it needs some fine detailing, but can be a strong deck type. You'll need to focus on dominance effects surely.

None of the decks i run could fit this character in, I'm not saying its a pants card, I just dont think i could use it to the full of its ability, Infamy for me is almost none existant.

No, you do not win by 4 or more so you do not fulfill that requirement so there is nothing to trigger Daven's response. What is interesting is if you were to win dominance anyway (by more than 4) I think the Iron Throne would supersede the dominance count and you still would not be able to trigger, Not 100% sure on that second part tho.

ktom's input on that second part:
"With the Bara-Iron Throne, you win dominance "automatically." But for cards like Daven, you still have to count more than 4 dominance STR than your opponent. So, for example, if you have the Iron Throne in play and count 3 for dominance - against your opponent's 4 - you "win dominance by -1 STR." You couldn't use Daven. But if you count 4 for dominance against your opponent's 0, you "win dominance by 4 STR." (Which, of course, would happen even if you didn't have The Iron Throne.)"

Appears to work as long as you do have +4 STR, meaning you would win DOM anyways.

Interesting. I had thought it was a cancellation of any count like Ahead of the Tide, but I guess since it actually does not say the word "cancel" that is not the case.

Would excess gold that you hadn't spent yet count towards total STR? He might be interesting in a Clansmen deck that lets you just rack up gold with Inn at the Crossroads and a lot of Clansmen characters out.

Excess gold will not give you STR in challenges, but will count towards dominance.
Excess gold in your gold pool counts towards Str in Dominance.

After you win(or lose) Dominance this gold doesn't count for anything except for paying for effects, until it is taken away in the Taxation phase.
