How do people feel about the power level of this card? Playable in Targ burn (either summer or maester's path)? Or is it too weak on its own? I'm definitely gonna try it out at least. A bit tricky though to play it along with Fear of Winter, but not unmanageable.
The Hatchlings' Feast (ASitD) in hand and if we have it do we really need to pump weak character to 6 STR ? I don't think it will work. Forever Burning (Core) gives us 1 STR and
Flame-Kissed (Core) 2. Is it much? The worst thing in this character is that it won't work with our main card in burn Threat from the North (PotS). At least it will not work straigh away. We can think about some attachments to give him 2 STR to survive and get benefit from this plot, butz anyway it's only to the end of the phase so he will be pumped only in Plot phase and in challanges phase.
Dragonpit has a constant -1 STR(when conditions apply), so keep in mind that the window for triggering this is only upon the STR actually being reduced. Since it is constant, you can only do trigger the response upon Dragonpit entering play, a character entering play(and thus receiving -1 STR), or upon the condition being met on Dragonpit(you just put a card in the shadows giving you more than the opponent and Dragonpit has now been activated).
Let's say I have 2 copies of Shadow Parasite - Parasite A and Parasite B - in play and one Sellsword Deserter (CD) in my hand during challanges phase. Both Parasites are 0 STR. I ambush in Sellsword. He gets -1, since he is affected by his own text. I trigger both Parasites - they are at 1 STR but immidiately get -1 because they are also affected by Sellsword - back to 0 STR. Now I can trigger Parasite A in response to Parasite A getting its STR reduced, Parasite A in response to B getting STR reduced, B in response to A and B in response to B, so until the end of the phase they are both 2 STR? And for any other ally/refugee on the table they would get additional +1 STR until the end of the phase?
edit: I don't know why I gave 2 parasites in this example, Parasite B could be any other ally/refugee with STR 1 or more and Parasite A would end up with same STR...
If I'm following you, yes the Shadow Parasites would be 2 Strength till the end of the phase. The deserter would reduce the STR of 3 Allies. Thus each SP could use the response to get +3, but they would already be affected by the -1 from Sellsword for a total STR of 2. Aegon would have a similar result if there were only 3 non-Dragon characters in play.
