A question please. If Waking the Dragon is played on a knelt, duped character are both returned to hand, or just the dupe, leaving the original character in play? Thank you very much!
The original is returned to your hand.
You can save the original from being returned to your hand by discarding the dupe, or you can let the original go back to your hand, which results in the dupe being discarded.
Thank you Ktom for the excellent clarification.
Hadn't really thought about this but other than a clutch push in the challenge phase or Jorah this might be the best way to play this card.
Just some clarification. If you save a character from being returned to your hand, doesn't it still not satisfy the "At the end of the phase, if that character is still in play" part? So even if you saved the character with a dupe, you would still have to return the original to your hand, no?
Or is there a ruling on end of the phase triggers that I'm not aware of?
Yeah you are correct
